National Fire Prevention Week

Every year in October, the Florence Fire Department dedicates a week to promoting fire safety in efforts to educate the Florence community. The City of Florence Fire Department strongly recommends that every home have a fire escape plan that is effective and well-known by all family members. Fires do happen, but most can be prevented or controlled by taking measures that reduce the likelihood of one occurring.
     
The Fire and Life Safety Division provides public education on the City of Florence website that includes, home safety tips, protecting your home, business safety, and a variety of helpful resources.
