Baseball - Florence Little League Baseball
The City of Florence Athletics and Sports Tourism Department host the newly created Florence Little League Program. Participation in this league will be based off your residency in Florence County. The league is provided for participants ranging from the age of 7 to 16. Playing age is determined by the participant’s age as of August 31st of 2024. The fee to participate is $45 per participant. Registration is conducted online, or by going to the Athletics and Sports Tourism Department’s administrative offices located at the Barnes Street Activity Center.
2024 Fall Baseball Season
Registration for the 2024 Fall Season will open on August 1, 2024. Registration will end August 30, 2024. Spots are limited. If an age group fills before August 30, any further registrations will go to a wait list.

Basketball - Florence Youth Basketball League
The City of Florence Athletics and Sports Tourism Department, in association with the Florence Youth Basketball League, hosts a youth basketball program for kids in the Florence area. With over 400 youth participating, the league is one of the most popular activities offered in the city area.
The fee is $45 per participant. Youth ages 5 to 17 years of age can participate. All ages are determined by their age as of September 1st of the registration year.
Registration for Winter Basketball will begin on November 1st.

Cheerleading
The City of Florence offers a Recreational based Cheer Program during the fall and is for kids ages 5 to 12. During the season the cheerleaders will cheer during the Florence Football League games. Each cheerleader will be taught basic fundamentals, techniques, and teamwork. Registration for the cheer program will begin on July 1st and the cost is $50. Registration is conducted online, or by going to the Athletics and Sports Tourism Department’s administrative offices located at the Barnes Street Activity Center.
2024 Cheer Season
Registration for the 2024 Cheer Season is open. Registration will end on July 31.

Football League
The City of Florence Athletics and Sports Tourism Department, in association with the Chick-Fil-A Florence Junior Football League, hosts a youth football program for kids in the Florence area. Over 600 youth sign-up each year to participate in this popular program.
The league is composed of participants ranging from the age of 5 to 12 years of age. Playing age is determined by the participant’s age as of September 1st. The fee to participate is $55 per participant. Registration is conducted online, or by going to the Athletics and Sports Tourism Department’s administrative offices located at the Barnes Street Activity Center and registration begins July 1st.

Registration for the 2024 Football Season is open. Registration will close on July 31.

Gymnastics Program
The City of Florence gymnastics program is packed with high energy and octane. Both competition and skills development are a focus at this facility. Participants will learn not only sound techniques but they will also learn life-skills that will help them develop as teens, young adults and adults.
FACILITY DETAILS
The center is a 12,000 square foot air-conditioned building with many different types of gymnastics features, such as a 20×20 loose-foam training pit, a 8×30 bar training pit, a 42×42 spring tumbling floor, multiple sets of uneven bars, balance beams, vaulting tables, a 25 foot tumble track, parallel bars, rings, and several additional learning aids. There is a separate preschool room outfitted with small-scale equipment adapted to better accommodate younger children. A large lobby with vending machines, viewing windows, and tables are available for all parents and guests.

Soccer-FSA Recreation

The City of Florence Athletics and Sports Tourism Department, in association with the Florence Youth Softball Association, hosts a girls youth softball program for the Florence community. There are two seasons each year which offer league play – spring and fall.
The league is provided for youth ranging from the age of 4 to 16 years of age. All ages are determined as of December 31st, 2022 for the spring league. League participation is dependent upon the participant’s location of residence. The fee is $45 per participant. Registration is conducted online, or by going to the Athletics and Sports Tourism Department’s administrative offices located at the Barnes Street Activity Center.

Tennis
The City of Florence Junior Tennis Program includes Junior Tennis Clinics, Private Lessons, and Summer Camps.
Track and Cross-Country
The Florence Track Club is made up of volunteer coaches, parents and youth athletes ages 6 to 18 who participate in USATF sanctioned Jr. Olympic Track & Field and Cross Country events. Playing age is the participant’s age during the calendar year, or if the participant turns 19 after the USATF National Meet. The program is in association with the City of Florence Parks and Recreation Department, and is sponsored by the Police Athletics League.
Participants also compete in local road races, school sponsored Track & Field and Cross Country events, and other club sponsored events around the state of South Carolina. The fee to participate is $45. Registration is conducted online, or by going to the Athletics and Sports Tourism Department’s administrative offices located at the Barnes Street Activity Center.

Volleyball
The City of Florence Athletics and Sports Tourism Department offers a fall volleyball league for girls ages 7-17 as well as boys ages 13-17 based on your age as of September 1st. The league is an instructional based league that focuses on teaching the fundamentals of volleyball. The cost of the league is $45 and all practices and games are played at the Pearl Moore Basketball Center located at 500 Barnes Street. Registration is conducted online, or by going to the Athletics and Sports Tourism Department’s administrative offices located at the Barnes Street Activity Center.
