FLORENCE, SCThe City of Florence would like to notify the public that the intersection at Coit & Darlington will be temporarily closed to northbound and southbound traffic from Monday, April 1st through Friday, April 5th, 2024. The closure will allow for the replacement of the gravity sewer pipe located in the median of Darlington Street between McQueen and Coit Streets. Darlington Street will have one eastbound and one westbound lane open to through traffic throughout the work. Due to the location of the connector manhole, the Coit & Darlington intersection will be closed to north/south traffic. East/west traffic can pass through the intersection but will be unable to turn onto Coit Street.

The attached map indicates where the scheduled work will occur. Motorists are asked to take alternate routes to avoid this area if possible. If you must travel through the work zone, we urge caution and adherence to all posted detours and traffic instructions to ensure everyone’s safety.
