FLORENCE, SC – The City of Florence has partnered with Bowen National Research to conduct a comprehensive Housing Needs Assessment to better understand current housing conditions, challenges, and opportunities within the City of Florence.
As part of this initiative, Bowen National Research is surveying residents, commuters, community leaders, and organizations to gather valuable perspectives on housing needs in the area. The study will analyze key factors such as housing availability, affordability, quality, and demand, providing data to guide future housing policies and development strategies.
The survey is confidential, and only aggregate results will be included in the final analysis. No individual responses will be shared. Many questions are opinion-based and can be answered to the best of the respondent’s knowledge.
Surveys will be conducted in two ways:
By phone – Over the next few weeks, some Florence residents may receive a call from Bowen National Research inviting them to take part in the Housing Needs Assessment survey. These calls will come directly from Bowen National Research representatives, who will guide participants through the questions and record their responses. Participation is voluntary, and all information provided will remain confidential.
Online form – For those who prefer to complete the survey digitally, it will be available through the City of Florence’s website at www.cityofflorence.com towards the end of the month. As with the phone survey, participation is voluntary, and all responses will remain strictly confidential. An announcement will be made once the survey is available online.
The City of Florence encourages residents and other community stakeholders to take a few minutes to participate. Your input is vital in providing an accurate picture of Florence’s housing landscape and ensuring the findings lead to meaningful action.
For questions about the survey, please contact Desiree Johnson at desireej@bowennational.com or Assistant City Manager Clint Moore at cmoore@cityofflorence.com.
