FLORENCE, SC – The City of Florence will hold a Groundbreaking Ceremony for a new Sports Complex on Monday, March 22, 2021 at 4:00pm. The ceremony will be held at the future site of the facility, 1200 Jennie O’Bryan Avenue (adjacent to the Dr. Eddie Floyd Florence Tennis Center). The public is invited to attend but is encouraged to wear a mask when unable to social distance appropriately.
The new complex will provide a recreational facility for baseball and track which will support local youth baseball leagues, the Florence Track and Cross-Country youth program, and provide a permanent home for the Florence RedWolves. The total project cost is approximately $16 Million. Construction will begin this month with an anticipated completion date in late Spring, 2022.
