WOMEN'S SAFEHOUSE

The Pee Dee Coalition operates a women's safehouse designed to help women who need temporary housing because of an unsafe home situation, the threat of domestic violence, or protection as a victim or witness of a crime.  The safehouse is run by staff and volunteers who are trained to help women heal the psychological and physical scars of abuse or violence.  Medical and counseling services are available, and police officers provide protection at the facility.  For more information, or to arrange to stay at the safehouse, contact the Florence Police Department Victim's Witness Advocate at 843-676-8800.  If this is an emergency or after 5 pm, and you need a place to stay, contact the Florence Police Department Dispatch at 843-665-3191.

You may also contact the Pee Dee Coalition directly by calling 1-800-273-1820 or calling the 24-hour crisis line, 669-4600.
