RIDE-ALONG PROGRAM 

The City of Florence Police Department offers a ride along program in which citizens may ride with a uniformed police officer for four hours during his or her regular duty shift.  This program is a great way for citizens to witness firsthand how their law enforcement officials help to keep the community safe.  Those interested in the program must fill out an application available at the City of Florence Police Department.  A routine background check will be conducted on all applicants.  If this check clears, you will be contacted to set up a date for your ride along and receive further instructions.  Please allow 48 hours for processing your application.  Also note that the program allows a citizen to ride along only once per month.  For more information, or to receive an application, contact the City of Florence Police Department main offices at 843-665-3191.
