The City of Florence Parks & Leisure Services Department in association with the local Chick-Fil-A Restaurants sponsor the Florence Youth Football League. The league is composed of 4 age groups/divisions, ranging from 6 to 14 year olds. The age groups/divisions are: 7 - 8 year olds; 9 - 10 year olds; 11 - 12 year olds; and 13 - 14 year olds. The age cutoff date is November 1 of each year.

Registration for the Florence Youth Football League begins July 1st each year. The registration fee is $45. Youths participate in an evaluation to determine placement on a team. Games begin in September and last until late November, followed by postseason tournaments. Teams typically play one game per week and practice additional two or three days per week. Games are played at the Freedom Florence Recreation Complex.
