YOUTH BASEBALL

The City of Florence Parks & Leisure Services Department hosts several youth baseball leagues within the City of Florence. Leagues offered include Little League Baseball and Dixie Baseball. Leagues are provided for participants ranging from age 5 thru 19 years of age. Leagues are governed by a volunteer board with direction from the City of Florence Parks and Leisure Services Department and the Parks and Recreation Commission. League participation is dependant upon the participant’s location of residence.

Registration for spring youth baseball begins on February 1st of each year. The registration fee is $35 per participant. Insurance is included in the cost of registration. Youths participate in a pre-season evaluation to determine placement on teams. Season games usually begin in March and last until June, followed by postseason tournaments. Teams will play one or two games per week and practice an additional one to two days per week.
