Any citizen or group holding a garage or yard sale must obtain a permit prior to the event.  Sales on a particular street or right-of-way cannot be held within twelve months of each other, and no commercial business may sell their wares in garage or yard sales.  Interested parties must apply for a garage or yard sale permit from the City of Florence Business License Office.  There is a non-refundable five dollar fee.  For more information or to obtain a permit, visit the City of Florence Business License Office located in room 602 of the City-County Complex, 180 North Irby Street, Florence between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, or call the office at 843-665-3173.
