HOUSING CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR


$16.30/Hour
40 Hour Work Week (M-F)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Graduation from accredited high school, plus 5 years experience as a building inspector, engineer, architect, construction superintendent, licensed contractor in one of the major construction disciplines, foreman/forewoman, or construction manager; or an Associate Degree with major course work in engineering, architecture or related field, plus 2 years experience; or the equivalent in education, training, and experience which would provide the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities. Valid SC driver's license.

- Submit an official City of Florence application form. Forms are available at the City of Florence Human Resources Department, City-County Complex, Room 507, 180 N. Irby Street, Florence, SC  29501.  You may also call 843-665-3158 for an application packet or download an application at http://www.cityofflorence.com/employment/application_200105.pdf.  Note:  The City of Florence does NOT accept resumes.

- Submit an original 10-year Driver's Record.  Include a report from each state in which you held a driver's license during the last 10 years.  In South Carolina, driver's records are available at the SC Department of Motor Vehicles.  Other states have similar agencies.

SELECTION PROCESS

In order to be eligible for this postion, you must successfully complete the following:
-Thorough driver's record check and background investigation
-Formal Interview
