The Dr. Eddie Floyd Florence Tennis Center features 24 asphalt courts, 6 Hydro-Grid clay courts and a 5,000 sq. ft. activity center with outdoor decking. The activity center includes a lounge area, student study area, restrooms, locker rooms with showers, meeting and office space, and a stocked pro shop. The Tennis Center is located at 1300 Jennie O’Bryan Parkway, off of 1060 N. Cashua Drive. The location of the facility is ideally situated for easy access and participation by all members of the Florence community. The complex currently hosts USTA league play, open/free play, personalized instruction sessions, and developmental clinics. In partnership with the Florence Tennis Association, the City also offers an after-school educational/tennis outreach program for city youth.

Since the opening of the Dr. Eddie Floyd Florence Tennis Center in July 2011, the City of Florence Recreation Department has been productive in promoting and marketing the new center through several programs and events. Weekly scheduled programs include a youth academy, 2-4 person Clinics, Adult Beginners Classes and individual lessons.  The City of Florence has once again been awarded a USTA Women’s Pro-Circuit event scheduled for October 2015.  The event is a $25K event and will feature some of the up and coming talent in the professional tennis arena, such as the 2014 winner CiCi Bellis.  For our full calendar of events please look below.

Courts Open: 8:30am – 9:30pm
Pro Shop Hours: 8:30am – 11:30am, 4:30pm – 9:30pm

Saturday

Courts Open: 8:30am – 6:00pm
Pro Shop Hours: 8:30am – 6:00pm

Sunday

Courts Open: 12:00pm – 8:00pm
Pro Shop Hours: 12:00pm – 8:00pm

Clay Court Fees:

Annual Membership Fee $300.00 per person
Annual Family Membership Fee $500.00 per family
Court Rental Fee (per 1.5 hours) $5.00 per person
* There is no fee for hard court access 

The courts can be reserved on a 1.5 hour basis by clay court members.  Payment can be made on an annual basis or paid by time of use. During the various league seasons, four (4) clay courts will be designated for league play and two (2) clay courts will remain open for public play. On the same note, during league season, fifteen (15) hard courts will be designated for league play and nine (9) hard courts will remain open for public play. The center also has a ball machine that is available for rental.
