General Information
Freedom Florence Recreation Complex consists of a five-field softball facility, with paved parking, a gymnastics center, four (4) youth softball fields, and a four-field football and soccer complex. These facilities are designed for local and competitive use. Freedom Florence also offers to the public, a fishing area with an adjacent picnic facility with outdoor grills ready for your use. Additionally, Freedom Florence offers to its users a mile and one half walking, jogging and biking trail.
- Admission: No admission will be charged to enter the Freedom Florence Recreation Complex except during Special Events.
- Uses of Outdoor Facilities: Softball fields, football and soccer fields, concessions stand, picnic and play areas are scheduled through the Complex Supervisor. Normally, we will schedule events on a first come, first serve basis. The Complex Supervisor will maintain a list of all scheduled events. A reservation fee is required.
- Major Tournament Attraction: Marketing will conduct promotion of the Freedom Florence Recreation Complex to attract and host local, invitational, state, regional, and national level tournaments.
- Economic Impact: Freedom Florence Recreation Complex through the hosting of major tournaments will create a positive economic impact for the Florence Business Community.
- Concessions: The concession stand at Freedom Florence Recreation Complex will strive to generate revenue to help offset the operating budget and create customer good will.
- Program Areas: We will offer sports programs and other activities at Freedom Florence Recreation Complex through the City's Recreation Division.
- Maintenance: The maintenance staff, under the direction of the Complex Supervisor, will maintain the grounds and facilities in a way that promotes a safe and pleasing experience for all users and visitors.
- Park Rules and Regulations: (see rules, attached).
- Security: City Staff will ensure they follow those park regulations and that a safe environment exists for the public.
