Any citizen or group holding a garage or yard sale must obtain a permit prior to the event.  A license for a garage or yard sale shall not be issued to any person for use at any one house or residence more than once in any twelve (12) month period. No commercial business may sell their wares in garage or yard sales.  Interested parties must apply for a garage or yard sale permit from the City of Florence Business License Office.  There is a non-refundable five dollar fee.  For more information or to obtain a permit, visit the City of Florence Business License Office located in room 602 of the City-County Complex, 180 North Irby Street, Florence between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, or call the office at 843-665-3173.
