EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS OFFICE

The City of Florence Emergency Disaster Preparedness Office strives to keep citizens informed and prepared for any emergency, coordinates resources with the Florence County Emergency Preparedness Department during an emergency, and provides relief after an emergency.  Our goal is to save lives and protect property by developing programs and emergency operational capabilities in the event of a natural or man-made disaster.

The City of Florence Emergency Disaster Preparedness Office tries to help prepare you by providing free brochures and information on emergency situations and preparedness for anything from earthquakes to storms to chemical spills.  We can give you information on tornado or fire drills, evacuation procedures, shelter living, and property mitigation.  For more information about the City of Florence Emergency Disaster Preparedness Office, please call 843-665-3158.  The Florence County Emergency Preparedness Department serves as the County disaster planner.  For more information about the Florence County Emergency Preparedness Department, please call 843-665-7255.
